Decimation after Measurement(For more information, please refer to the instruction manual “Decimation calculation”.)

This function enables decimation of data sampling, by generating data with widened sampling intervals, to make the size of data smaller.
For example, if data measured with sampling period of 100 ms is changed to data with sampling period 1 s, the number of measurement points is reduced to one-tenth.

Procedure

1. Click on “[Calculation] → [Decimation]” to pop out “Decimating Calculation Dialog”.

2. Select “Decimation Count”
Depending on the sampling period, its sampling period shown within “()” may vary.

3. Select whether executing the process of the low pass filter for preprocessing of decimation or not (Use Decimation Filter).
In this filter, the cutoff frequency cannot be selected.
The bandwidth of the low pass filter = 1/ (the sampling interval after decimation [sec]/ 2).

4. Select the output directions for data of the objected data range and the post process.

5. Click on “OK” button to start the process.

Selectable number of decimation (the sampling period after decimation) per sampling period is as follows.
