How to Use Alarm Notifications
The WM2000 series have the following functions:
- ● A function to specify the upper and lower limits of the measurement value and to display an alarm.
- ● A function to detect thermocouple disconnection during measurement and to issue an alarm when a disconnection is detected.
The following is the procedure for using these alarms:
Procedures
- Open the Settings window by clicking Settings -> [setup…].
- Click on the [System] tab.
If “Enable Limit Alarm” is checked, an alarm is issued at the specified limit value.
If “Enable Sensor Alarm” is checked, disconnection detection is enabled during measurement and an alarm is issued when a disconnection is detected.
The disconnection alarm can be used when the sampling cycle is 10 s or longer.
- Once the settings are sent to the measurement unit, measurement begins.
If the Limit alarm is exceeded during measurement, an alarm is displayed.
Once the “Limit Alarm!” is displayed, it will continue to be displayed during measurement even if the value returns to normal.
The red filled display in the Limit Upper column is displayed only while the alarm is exceeded.
Data exceeding the limit is indicated by a marker on the graph.
- When the required measurement period is over, measurement is stopped.
- After the measurement unit is stopped and lost data recovery is complete, click [View] to open the data display window and check the measurement results.
- The data that exceeded the limit will be indicated by a marker on the graph.
- The number of measurement points that exceeded the limit is displayed in the summary table.
